Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients faced with terminal diseases and of their families.
We take care of the patients by preventing and relieving the symptoms (pain, nausea, vomiting, insomnia, etc.) and by facilitating psychological, psychosocial and spiritual problems.
Cooperation is realized with: a psychiatrist, internist, surgeon, physiatrist, dentist, general practitioner...
In palliative care we offer the active total care of the patient, we control and relieve the pain, foster teamwork, and we offer unlimited time for visit and stay with the patient.
At our institution we offer the family of the patient, who spends the last days of his/her life here, the possibility of staying with the patient 24 hours, which he/she was not even allowed or provided with during hospitalization.
